When an employee selects "End Shift" more than one time in a day our Facility Health Page alerts on it under "Recommended Actions", to bring awareness to potential logging errors.  While there may extenuating circumstances in which this is necessary on rare occasion, it is typically not a common occurrence in most operations, and should be monitored throughout the day to ensure proper login compliance is in place.

Why is it important to monitor "Multiple End Shift" notifications? 

(1)  Hours and productivity are not measurable in Spindle when in an "End Shift" status.  This means that while in this status, employees have the ability to go "undetected" without their productivity % or excessive Non-Productive time being affected and reported on.

• Simply put, it can become a "hide out" area for employees desiring to take an unauthorized break and stop producing throughout the work day.

(2)  Spindle hours vs Payroll hours will generate a variance, meaning that not all hours being paid out are being captured for production monitoring. 

• One of the key components in determining the overall Facility Health of an operation is ensuring that all production time and productivity is measured in Spindle for reporting purposes.

(3)  The Facility Health Score will be deducted when employee's log more than one "End Shift" in a day, as this is an indicator that not all hours are being measured appropriately.

• The "Multiple End Shift" component of Login Compliance is worth up to 11 points on the Health Score and the "Payroll" component is also worth up to 11 points, meaning that if this is a common occurrence throughout your operation, up to 22 points from the total health score will be lost due to this alone.
