Customize How Your Facility Health Score Gets Calculated
FollowWhat is it?
We're excited to announce you now have the ability to set your own parameters for how the Facility Health Score is calculated.
Why does it matter?
Before introducing the Facility Health Page, we analyzed the most efficient plants to uncover the metrics they all had in common. We landed on four different components and assigned each of them point values that would make up the Facility Health Score (Overall Labor Effectiveness (OLE), Login Compliance, Lost & Wasted Hours, and Data Manipulation).
After introducing this score, we received feedback from many of you that some of the targets weren't achievable for how your plant operated. This made the score obsolete to many of our customers.
With this release, you can now update how the points are assigned for each component to better reflect your own operation.
How does it work?
Facility Health Score Parameters
- Users are able to customize the Maximum Value and Incremental Value for each component that makes up the Facility Health Score (FHS).
- In order to make these changes, you'll need to reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
NOTE: At this time, you are not able to adjust how many points each component contributes towards the FHS. You can only define how the points get accounted for (see example at the bottom of the document).
The components that make up the Facility Health Score (learn more about each component):
- Overall Labor Effectiveness (34 points)
- OLE % is 34 points
- Default Max is set to 100%
- Default Increment is set to 1
- OLE % is 34 points
- Login Compliance (33 Points)
- N/A Count % (11 points)
- Default Max is set to 0.5%
- Default Increment is set to 0.5%
- Payroll Hours Deviation (11 points)
- Default Max is set to 1%
- Default Increment is set to 1%
- If your facility isn't connecting your Payroll Hours with Spindle, this would be a good example of where you would want to customize your parameters.
- Multiple End Shifts (11 points)
- Default Max is set to 1%
- Default Increment is set to 1%
- N/A Count % (11 points)
- Lost and Wasted (33 points)
- Opportunity (17 points)
- Default Max is set to 0%
- Default Increment is set to 1%
- Excessive Time (16 points)
- Default Max is set to 0%
- Default Increment is set to 1%
- Opportunity (17 points)
- Data Manipulation (0 Points)
- Default is to lose 1 point for every edit your team makes greater than the number of employees at your plant.
Example
Let's look at OLE as an example:
OLE % makes up 34 points of your Facility Health Score (FHS). While you're not able to adjust the 34 points the OLE component contributes towards the FHS, you are able to adjust how the points in OLE get accounted for. Below, the Maximum Value is set to 99%. Meaning, if your plants OLE % is greater than or equal to 99%, you'll get the full 34 points available.
The Incremental Value is set to 2. This is the amount of percentage points it takes before your score is penalized. In other words, every 2% drop in OLE deducts 1 point from your overall FHS.
