Editing Completed Preventive Maintenance and Work Orders in CMMS
FollowAvailable on SpindleLIVE Mobile using CMMS Mobile and the SpindleLIVE website. With our latest enhancement, users can edit completed Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks and Work Orders (WO) directly in the CMMS. This functionality provides flexibility for maintenance technicians and ensures accurate and up-to-date records even after a task has been marked as completed.

Why Edit a Completed Preventive Maintenance and Work Order task?
Maintenance staff often move quickly between tasks and may need to update details, such as parts used or images, after completing the job. This feature allows for these updates, ensuring all relevant information is captured without creating new records.
What Can Be Edited?
The following fields are editable on completed PMs and WOs:

- Step comments: Add or update comments for each step.
- Attachments: Include additional files or photos relevant to the task.
- Overall Comments: Modify or add general comments about the work.
- Parts Used: Update the list of parts to complete the task.
What Cannot Be Edited?
Some elements of completed PMs and WOs remain locked:

- Status: Once marked as completed, the status of the PM or WO cannot be changed.
- Checked-Off Steps: Steps marked as complete will remain uneditable.
Where You Can Edit
By enabling edits on completed PMs and Work Orders, we aim to improve the accuracy of maintenance records and ensure your team has the flexibility to manage their tasks efficiently.
Mobile Access via CMMS Mobile
Selecting a completed PM or WO in the mobile app allows you to update information on the go.

SpindleLIVE CMMS Access
Edits can't be performed from the SpindLIVE Equipment Analysis or CMMS Analysis pages. While one page refreshes with the other, its primary purpose is to view historical data.
While editing completed tasks is a new feature, accessing them has stayed the same. The links for CMMS Details and CMMS Calendar can provide further details.
Click on the 4-Square icon associated with a PM or WO to edit.
