CMMS Mobile Quick Start Guide

The quick start guide will help you start with the CMMS Mobile app, which allows you to efficiently manage maintenance tasks, work orders, and assets without internet access. The app is designed to connect internal resources securely behind firewalls, ensuring seamless operation in restricted network environments.

For your information, CMMS Mobile is nestled within SpindleLIVE Mobile—one app, one solution. However, use SpindleLIVE when searching your app download store on Android or Apple.

Setting Up Your Tablet

  • Disconnect your tablet from the Spindle Subnet and connect it to Wi-Fi with an internet connection.
  • Open the Google Play Store app in your menu of applications. You must have a Google Play Store account to download apps.
    • I already have a Google Play Store account I'd like to use. Great, you can use it! 
    • I need a Google Play Store account. Google allows you to use any Gmail account, including creating one. 
    • I don't want a Gmail account. No problem. Google allows you to use third-party emails, including @yahoo.com, @ymail.com, and @mycompany.com. From a regular computer that isn't a mobile device, visit Google's Create a Google Account page.
      • The link will open a page with a white box labeled Create a Google Account. See the image below for familiarity.

Download the SpindleLIVE app for CMMS Mobile

  • Visit the Google Play Store and search for SpindleLIVE.
  • You'll see our app indicated by the familiar Spindle logo. Once you've downloaded the app, let's get logged in and start!

Reconnect to the Spindle Subnet to Access CMMS

  • Reconnect back to the Spindle Subnet Wi-FI.
    • Our Spindle Tablets come preconfigured with Spindle Subnet access stored within your tablet. Contact Spindle Support if you need the information to access Spindle Subnet.
    • If using corporate Wi-Fi, ensure that your SpindleLIVE account is properly configured for CMMS functionality and interaction. Please visit this article called SpindleLIVE Profile Update Required for CMMS Mobile.
