CMMS Images
FollowCMMS, Spindle's Computerized Maintenance Management System, now allows images to be attached to Preventative Maintenance & Work Order tasks. Your Maintenance Engineers will have the ability with their Maintenance Tablet to take pictures of the issue, or the parts needed that can be submitted to the Chief Engineer for Work Order approval. Only images can be attached. While images, snippets, and screenshots of a document, saved as an image, such as steps for part replacement, can be attached, the actual PDF file cannot.
When modifying a Preventative Maintenance task, the location where you make the changes will determine if their permanent or one-time. We provide this ability as not all Preventative Mantaintence tasks go as planned. It may become crucial to your ability to include a screenshot of instructions, add parts, or even add other images just once. Images attached to a Preventative Maintenance task from CMMS Admin will continue to be provided on all subsequent PMs. Any changes within CMMS - Admin is permanent. Images attached in other areas of SpindleLIVE, such as CMMS - Details will only be reflected on that single PM.

Please see User Manual for Parts - Parts Inventory, Manufacturers, & Vendors for adding Parts to PMs. A PM may be generic, and you may want to post an image to help Maintenance Engineers figure out the parts. Or you can attach a screenshot or image of instructions for part replacement as a one-time occurrence.
