Language Translation: Updating Translations
FollowFrom time to time, you will need to update your Language Translations when you make or request changes. Suppose you add or modify any Areas, Classifications, Equipment, Equipment Departments, Equipment Status, Maintenance (CMMS) Reasons, Maintenance (CMMS) Tasks, Maintenance (CMMS) Types, and Production Down Reasons. In that case, you will need to update Language Translations, including when requesting the changes from Spindle Support. Spindle Support does not provide any language translations.

Access your Spindle Admin
You'll need to access your Spindle Admin, the same place where you would add new users for new hires. Not all facilities access Spindle Admin the same. Unfortunately, we will be vague on how to access the Spindle Admin in this article for this reason. When Spindle is onsite at your location, we often set up links on your desktop to access a few sites, with one being Spindle Admin.
If you need help accessing Spindle Admin, don't hesitate to contact Spindle Support from the red question mark on www.SpindleLIVE.com or email support@SpindleLIVE.com. For issues logging into Spindle Admin due to needing a password reset, you could see your internal resource that inputs new hires into Spindle to reset your password. And as a reminder, the password for Spindle Admin is usually not the same as your SpindleLIVE account.
Update Spindle Admin with Translation Terms
- Log into Spindle Admin, and you should see Option 3 Translations; click this option.
- Click Option 2, Translation Terms. Here is where your Spindle Login Station will pull the translations from when your staff logs into Spindle. At the top of the page, you have options that control what data is displayed.
- Due to several pages of data, searching for what you have added will be best in the search box type what you have added. You should only need to input the item's first 3 - 4 characters.
- You have 4 columns of data, and you need to focus on the Translation Label column. No other column can be edited from this screen, and all other edits will need the assistance of Spindle Support. In this example, we will provide a Translation Label for Napkins (Stained). We will click Edit, provide the translation in the box, and then click Save.
NOTE: Clicking Cancel will cancel any active edits.
NOTE: Clicking Delete after entering an edit will only delete the Translation Label. No other deletions are performed by clicking Delete.
NOTE: In the future, if you add equipment, classifications, or make any changes to these items. You will need to return here to provide those translations; Spindle Support does not provide the translations.
