Prerequisite Setup

- Ensure that Assets, PM Instructions, and PM Setup are completed in SpindleLIVE before starting the translation process.
- If you work with corporate PMs, your SpindleLIVE PM Corporate Administrator must grant translation access.

Important Notes

- Please don't change the system-generated text in the exported Excel file. Changes to these parts of the file will result in errors during import.
- If a translation is not required for a specific item, leave the translation cell blank. This will ensure no changes are made to that item.
- The Excel file must remain in its original .xlsx format for a successful import.

- Translations can be done in any supported language. Languages can be imported depending on the organization's needs.

Access CMMS Mobile Language Translations

- Log into SpindleLIVE: Access www.SpindleLIVE.com from a PC with your account credentials.

Navigate to the Admin Section: Use the left-hand sidebar to hover over CMMS and click on Admin.

- Ensure Proper Access: If you manage corporate PMs, ensure your SpindleLIVE PM Corporate Administrator has granted Translation access.

- Select the Appropriate Region and Facility: Select the region and facility from the dropdown options if necessary.
- Go to the Translations Section: Inside the Admin section, click on Translations.

Export the Translation File

- Export the Excel file: Click the Export button on the right side of the page to download the Excel file. The file contains three separate tabs:
- PmInstructions: Translatable fields for PM Names and Descriptions.
- PmSteps: Steps associated with each PM for translation.

Terms: This feature allows the language translation of:

- Areas, Classifications
- Equipment Names
- Equipment Departments
- Equipment Status
- Maintenance Reasons
- Tasks
- Maintenance Types
- PM Frequency
- PM Status
- Production Down Reasons
- Statuses
- WO Priority Codes

- Save the File Locally: Save the Excel file to a preferred location for easy access and editing.
Editing the Translation File

- Navigate to Each Tab: Open the Excel file and review the three tabs (PmInstructions, PmSteps, and Terms).
- Guidelines for Translation: Translate only the fields that require translation, ensuring that system-generated text remains unchanged.
- Consistency: Ensure consistency across the translated PM Instructions, Steps, and Terms. Use the same terminology where appropriate.

Leave any cell blank if no translation is needed for that item (this will leave the original text unchanged).
Importing Translations

- Log Back into SpindleLIVE: Return to www.SpindleLIVE.com after completing the translation updates in the Excel file.
- Navigate to Admin: Follow the same file export steps by navigating to CMMS Admin.
- Select the Translations Section: Click on Translations again.
- Import the Translation File: Click the Import button. This action will change the screen to display the Import Translations interface.
- Select the File: In the center of the screen, you'll see an option to drag and drop your translation file or click to open a File Selection Dialog. If you prefer to use the file dialog, click the area, navigate to the saved file on your computer, select it, and click Open.

Import Process: Once the file is selected, the import will automatically begin, and the system will start processing the file.
Leave any cell blank if no translation is needed for that item (this will leave the original text unchanged).
- Verify the Upload: Review the PM Instructions, PM Steps, and Terms tabs to ensure all data has been correctly imported and appears as expected.963
- Save the Data: After verifying that all information has been imported correctly, click the Save Data button.
- Close the Import Interface: Once the data has been saved and the information is verified, click the X in the upper right corner to close the Import Translations screen.

Refresh the Page: You'll see your new translations when you refresh the page.
