Spindle Rail - Lifts Overview and Usage
FollowOverview
The Lifts page is essential for managing the movement and tracking of soiled slings. This page allows you to scan, classify, weigh, and move slings to designated rails. The page includes:
Using the Lifts Area
- Verify Lift Number: Ensure the appropriate lift number is selected for locations with multiple lift stations.
- Scan Bag: Tap "Scan Bag" to retrieve the Bag ID. Note: You can rescan if needed. (See image in overview.)
- Select Classification: Choose the linen type from the drop-down box.
-
Select Lot: Choose the appropriate lot.
Note: The selection is remembered until changed and is tablet-dependent, not user-dependent. Please always verify information when you switch lifts. -
Select Rail Number: This view allows you to select the intended rail and displays the number of slings on that lane and its total capacity.
- Tap on "Rail" to open a new window displaying all your soil sling rail lanes.
- Select the rail number where the sling will be stored.
-
Tap "Done" to return to the Lifts screen.
-
Get Weight: Tap "Get Weight" to retrieve the current weight from the lift scale.
Note: If the weight of a soil sling does not fall within a predetermined threshold, manager approval is required. These settings can only be set and modified in Spindle Admin Rails. - Enable Lift: Verify that all information is correctly filled out. Once all information is filled out, the "Enable Lift" button becomes active. Click "Enable Lift" to move the sling from the lift to the designated rail.
