Google Play Store Account Setup for Maintenance Tablets
FollowSpindle maintenance tablets are preconfigured with network settings and ready for immediate use with the Spindle Subnet. However, they do not include a pre-configured Google Play Store account. This allows you to set up your account and control the apps and services installed.
Two Methods to Set Up a Google Play Store Account
On the Maintenance Tablet

- Note: From mobile devices, Google Play does not support non-Gmail addresses for account creation. Please proceed to the next section, On a Computer for Google Play account creation with 3rd party email addresses.
- Purpose: To install the SpindleLIVE app for CMMS Mobile access.
- Requirement: Use or create an exisiting GMail and/or Google Play Store account with a Gmail address (e.g., yourname@gmail.com). Instructions on Google Play Store are below.
On a Computer

- Alternative Option: Create a Google Play Store account using any email address, including third-party or corporate addresses.
- Instructions: Visit Google's account creation page for step-by-step guidance.
Steps for Account Creation
On the Maintenance Tablet

- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Select "Create Account" and follow the prompts to set up a Gmail address.
- Complete the setup to enable app downloads.

- Visit the Create a Google Account Page.
- Choose "Use my current email address instead" if using a non-Gmail email.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the account setup.
