Login Station - Worker and Maintenance
FollowEvery login screen has an area that it defaults to. The below snapshot is set to Area 2 Shirt Press and Tunnel Hanging. Each area can have up to 5 pieces of equipment which can have up to 10 lanes; one per employee.
Scanning In - Employees are assigned an RFID Card that is user specific according to the profile entered by the facility. The card must be placed in front of the RFID reader until the indicator light turns from red to green.
Quick Area Selection - Once the card is correctly scanned, the employees name and their last known status appears at the top of the login screen. In addition, quick area selections and a PLANT VIEW button become visible on the opposite side of the display. The RFID card scan enables the touch screen until one of the Quick area selections is chosen or inactive for more than 15 seconds.

Choosing a Task - The Employee can now select the equipment they will be working on by touching the lane associated to that task. The screenshot below demonstrates an employee selecting Steam Tunnel Hanging Station Lane #1. The Employees status has changed from unassigned to lane successfully assigned.
Inside each lane is a Classification which may or may not be changed dependent on the Equipment. Steam Tunnel Hanging Stations have the capability of selecting 2 Classifications; Shirt Hanging or Pant Hanging. After successfully assigning to a lane, the employee has the option to select the Equipment graphic to change Classifications. If no changes to status or classification need to be made, the user can LOGOUT and begin work.
Once the Graphic is selected, the individual equipment screen appears. This screen allows the employee to Change Classification, Assign All Lanes with Same Classification, and Change Equipment Status.
- Change Classification - To change Classification, select the drop down arrow to the right of the Current Classification. Use the up and down arrow to locate missing classifications and select it by touching the classification name.
- Assign All lanes With Same Classification – This selection changes all lanes of the Equipment to the same classification.
- Change the Equipment Status – Select the drop down arrow to the right and choose the Equipment Status of Normal or Maintenance Pending.
- Normal – should be used when the Equipment is in a working status.
- Maintenance Pending – should be used when Equipment is waiting for maintenance.
Note: Workers do not have Permissions to select “Down for Maintenance”
Maintenance Pending - When selected, another menu MAINTENANCE REASON appears. Select the arrow to the right to expand the reason code drop down. Use the up/down arrow to locate the correct maintenance pending reason and chose the issue. The employee status bar will then indicate a successful selection to Maintenance Pending.
Once all selections are made, the Employee/Worker must choose the LOGOUT button in the upper right to finalize the selection and lock the direct labor login station lane. They are now ready to begin working.
Manual Entry - Some lanes contain a MANUAL COUNT ENTRY when the Equipment Graphic selection is made. This indicates a task where the employee or supervisor has the ability to input data through the login station. To enter data, select the Manual Count Entry # sign and a drop down keypad is displayed; key in the data followed by OK to accept. In the example below, the Employee/Worker selected that they completed 8 pieces. The employee status bar will then indicate the manual data that was entered and the Logout selection will finalize the data entry.
Note: Once data selection is finalized by the worker only the production supervisor has authorization to change Manual Count Entry.
Worker using Plant View - After selecting PLANT VIEW, an overview screen appears which contains numbered areas with the department description. The Demo Plant below illustrates 10 different areas. Select the area that you would like to expand equipment from.

The Maintenance/Engineer can now select the equipment they will be working on by touching the lane associated to their task. The screenshot below demonstrates an Engineer selecting Maintenance Lane 1. The Employee status has changed from unassigned to lane successfully assigned.
Inside each lane is a Classification which may or may not be changed depending on the Equipment. Maintenance has the ability to select 2 classifications; Scheduled and Unscheduled Maintenance. After successfully assigned to a lane, the employee has the option to select the Equipment graphic to change Classifications. If there are no changes to status or classification, the user can Logout and begin work.
Once the Graphic is selected, the individual equipment screen appears. This screen allows maintenance to Change Classification and Change Equipment Status.
- Change Classification - To change Classification, select the drop down arrow to the right of the Current Classification. Use the up/down arrow to locate missing classifications and then select it by touching the classification name.
- Change the Equipment Status – Select the drop down arrow to the right and then select the Equipment status of Normal, Maintenance Pending, or Down for Maintenance.
Note: Workers do not have Permissions to select or remove “Down for Maintenance” on Equipment.
Maintenance using Plant View - After selecting Plant View, an overview screen appears which contains numbered areas with the department description. The Demo Plant below illustrates 10 different areas. Select the area to expand the Equipment inside that area.

My DLLS does not show the default screen – check to see if the network connection has become disconnected.

When I scan my card nothing happens – check the RFID Reader light it should illuminate red indicating power and green when an active RFID card is held in front. If the light is not illuminated locate the USB plug for the RFID Reader, unplug the unit from the DLLS and locate an unused USB port and plug-in the RFID Reader.

My DLLS does not power up – press the power button located on the side of the DLLS. If the unit does not turn on check to see if the power cable is connected and the power supply box green light is on. If the light is not on please contact maintenance to ensure proper operation of the outlet.

My DLLS has wavy lines on the screen – power down the DLLS by pressing the power button located on the side of the unit. Unplug the power cord from the outlet and plug the DLLS into another outlet and power up.
