Using Spindle Subnet for CMMS Mobile
FollowSpindle Subnet: Accessing CMMS Mobile
When our Implementation Team installed SpindleLIVE, we set up a dedicated Spindle Subnet at your facility. This Spindle Subnet connects directly to the Spindle Server, bypassing the need for external internet access.
Key Points:
- Automatic Connections: Your Spindle Logins, IoT devices, and maintenance tablets are preconfigured to connect automatically to the Spindle Subnet.
- Mobile App Setup: After downloading the mobile app, reconnect your device to the Spindle Subnet to access all features seamlessly.
- Internet Access: None
- Non-Spindle Device Compatibility: Yes, not preferred.
Corporate Network: Accessing CMMS Mobile
Maintenance tablets will only require internet access to download and receive updates. Depending on your specific corporate policy, corporate-controlled Wi-Fi can access SpindleLIVE CMMS Mobile, allowing interaction like the Spindle Login stations throughout your plant. SpindleLIVE users are not required to connect to local Wi-Fi, unless they wish to interact with CMMS Mobile features.
Key Points:
- Connectivity: Ensure your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network with internet access to download and perform updates. The Spindle Subnet does not provide external internet access.
- Spindle Support: Contact your IT Team or Spindle Support for assistance if needed. We're available to discuss any complexities with your IT Team.
